This year, Richmond’s Passion play took place in on a damp, chilly Friday morning, which gradually turned into light rain for the better part of the performance. This gave added sadness to the Gethsemane garden and crucifixion scenes. I feel privileged, once again, to have been asked to photograph this extraordinary event which has happened for three of the past four years. And to be honest, for me, it is as shocking and stunning as the first time I heard the Gospel. Much kudos goes to the cast, director Peter Cregeen and all those who donated their time and money to bring this remarkable story to life in Richmond.
