Winter in Wales is, well, Teeming

In mid-November we took another mini-break to our favourite secluded cottage on the border of Powys and Herefordshire, not far from Hay-on-Wye (the celebrated home of the eponymous literary festival).  I half expected the hills and valleys to be quiet and in rather a state of hibernation, but it was anything but.  From the sheep and horses of  Vagar Hill to the hounds and paragliders of Hay Bluff, it was peaceful but by no means sleepy — as you can see in this selection of photos which I also, as ever, made into a  Welsh mini-break book.
