On a sunny Saturday in early April, I set the satnav for Sutton where Billie and I had agreed to help the Open Britain organisation in photographing OB campaign volunteers speaking to residents & shoppers and gathering signatures to back a people’s vote on the final Brexit deal. And yes, Billie did help, as she’s very good at looking cute, taking selfies with people and generally making shoppers laugh. So I think she did actually lure of a few Sutton families to the OB table. Some added excitement for the day came from the For Our Future’s Sake (#ffsake) group campaigning on behalf of young people and the Liberal Democrat MP, Tom Brake, whose constituency includes Carshalton and Wallington. It was my first time to this patch of London, and I enjoyed every minute of it.
